Size Guide
Sarees are not sized like stitched garments — one saree fits every body. What varies is length, blouse piece and petticoat, explained below.
Saree length
Our sarees are typically 5.5 metres long, which suits most standard draping styles. Sarees supplied with an attached blouse piece are usually 6.3 metres in total, of which about 0.8 metres is the blouse piece. The exact length for each saree is shown on its product page.
Saree width
Standard width is 44 to 47 inches, which suits most heights. If you are taller than average, look for sarees at the wider end of that range so the drape falls fully.
Blouse piece
Where a blouse piece is included, it is unstitched and normally around 0.8 metres. Your tailor will need your bust, waist, shoulder, sleeve length and blouse length measurements.
Taking your measurements
Measure over well-fitting undergarments, keeping the tape snug but not tight. Bust is measured at the fullest point, waist at the narrowest, and shoulder from one shoulder point across to the other.
Petticoat
Choose a petticoat that matches the base colour of your saree and reaches your ankle. The petticoat should be firm at the waist, as it carries the weight of the drape.
